QUINCY, WA – Washington’s favorite summer vacation spot had a tough season last year due to dam repairs on the Columbia River. The INT League and Crescent Bar Inc. are happy to celebrate the grand re-opening of Crescent Bar with a festival! As Crescent Bar emerges from a quiet summer of restoration we are excited to announce Crescent Bar River Fest presented by Weinstein Beverage Co. to be held June 26-28; a festival to honor the many years of great memories made at Crescent Bar and the future of this unique community!
The flagship event of the weekend is an INT League Amateur Water ski, Wake board, Wake Skate and Wake Surf event presented by Akins Harvest Foods. The weekend will also feature a Wine Tasting Tour on Friday kicking off at The Bus Stop at Crescent Bay; on Saturday, a Classic Car Cruise In at the CB Park co-hosted by Wenatchee Valley Cruisers Car Club, and live music by Brian DiJulio & the Love Jacks at the Sand Trap; and on Sunday, a Crescent Bar Resort Golf Tournament, and Mountain Dew Dam to Dam Wake Surf Contest where the longest standing guy and gal surfer will win a Tako Inland Surfer board.
Come hungry, Crescent Bar BQ will be serving lunch at the park on Saturday. O’Brien will be on the beach all day with their Stand Up Paddle boards, stop by and take one for a spin. Bud Light Lime will be promoting boating safety. Get ready to make a new friend, the Quincy Animal Shelter will be there with their furry friends looking for good homes. On Sunday, take a ride in one of the best boats in the water sports industry, Master Craft, Axis and Supra boat demos will be taking place in the Crescent Bar Marina. There will be many more fun and exciting things to do all weekend.
For years the Crescent Bar water ski tournament was one of the best and well-attended contests on the west coast. Many people have fond memories of friends and families gathering together at the Crescent Bar park for a weekend of competition and fun! The water sports event will be held at Fireman’s Beach at the park on the island, with athletes skiing and riding in the protected waterway of the back channel. The channel will be closed to boaters on Saturday, June 27 for the safety of the event participants.
This event is for the community of Crescent Bar, for those who permanently live in the Wenatchee and Quincy area, and those who treasure Crescent Bar as their summer vacation spot. Riders and skiers will also be traveling from all over the Northwest to participate in the water sports event.
The event promoters, the INT League and Sunshine Marketing have been working with Crescent Bar Inc., Grant County, Grant Country PUD, the Sheriff’s office, and other local government groups to organize this event since November. Collectively this group is very excited to bring the festival to the Quincy area. “We are excited to bring back some of the heritage of Crescent Bar and our history of hosting water sports events,” said Randy Hoefer, president of Crescent Bar Inc., “River Fest will be a positive start to the summer after last season.”
Hundreds of participants are expected at the water sports event, golf tournament, and wake surf contest, plus many additional guests who will be attending with their families and friends to spectate! The water sports, car show, and wake surf event will be free for spectators.
The events are all open to the public to participate in. Pre-Registration for all of the weekend’s events is highly recommended and available online at CrescentBarRiverFest.com.
